High Wycombe: Seymour Taylor merges with Marlow-based Colston Bush
Seymour Taylor, one of High Wycombe’s leading accountancy firms, has announced that Colston Bush has recently merged with the firm.
Colston Bush has been practising as a firm of chartered accountants in nearby Marlow for over 35 years and the partners had been seeking a succession strategy. After spending some years exploring options to ensure clients and staff would be properly looked after, Seymour Taylor became the firm of choice.
Partner David Postlethwaite will remain during the handover period before retiring, while colleagues Martin Spittle and Ian Petty, along with all members of staff have joined Seymour Taylor.
Petty and Spittle are confident that their clients will benefit, not only from the continuing relationship with the existing team, but also from the additional scope and expertise Seymour Taylor can offer as a larger combined firm.
Postlethwaite said: "After 35 years in practice, we are very pleased to have found a way forward in joining Seymour Taylor. I believe with this merge it has opened up greater access to expert fields and I see many opportunities ahead for our clients and staff."
Simon Turner, managing director of Seymour Taylor, said: "The partners at Colston Bush were looking for a firm that shared their ethos and values, as it is very important to them that their clients and staff are looked after. I am very excited that this merger is going to give us a real boost and help us with our expansion plans in the Thames Valley marketplace. We are looking forward to increasing client service offerings to their clients, including international, whilst providing an excellent client service."
