High Wycombe: TVT&D expands training to include CMI qualifications
Thames Valley Training & Development (TVT&D) has been accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and now teaches a range of management and leadership courses within its growing portfolio of professional training and development programmes.
The CMI is the only chartered professional body for management and leadership dedicated to improving managers’ skills and growing the number of qualified managers. With a member community of 100,000 managers and leaders, it promotes high standards of ethical practice and helps managers build their expertise through online networks, regional events and mentoring opportunities.
Gaining CMI accreditation is further success for TVT&D, which is a subsidiary company of Bucks New University, and follows hot on the heels of the training accreditations it has secured with CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) and AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians).
As managing director of TVT&D, David Podger, explained: “We are a recently-established company and so the string of accreditations we’ve gained from high-profile professional bodies is excellent news and a very positive step forward.
“The Thames Valley is now experiencing the economic upturn and individuals and organisations are once again starting to recognise the importance of ‘up-skilling’ themselves and their workforces. With this recent accreditation and more in the pipeline, TVT&D is in the right place to meet this resurgence in training interest from businesses in the Thames Valley area.”
TVT&D will now provide CMI training in the Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management and Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership.
In addition to the new CMI courses, TVT&D provides professional training in the areas of IT, law, accountancy and finance, business, and sales & marketing, to both individuals and organisations. Courses are taught at its premises at Bucks New University's High Wycombe campus and in Slough, with some available for in-house delivery.
