Dorset: Local entrepreneur to form new regional accountancy group
Local chartered accountant and entrepreneur Paul Stacey has acquired the business of Jenny Barnes & Co, a well-established New Forest-based accountancy practice in a deal that took effect on November 1.
This latest takeover is the second major purchase Stacey has made in the past 18 months, following his acquisition of Rutter & Allhusen the Shaftesbury-headquartered chartered accountants in 2019.
The new group, Hub Chartered Accountants, will be made up of Stacey’s three legacy businesses Rutter & Allhusen, Jenny Barnes & Co. and IQ Business Consulting. It will offer tax, accountancy, book-keeping and business consulting services to private clients and businesses across the whole of Dorset and the New Forest, from offices in Shaftesbury and Ringwood.
Clients will benefit from a wider spread of services, experience and economies of scale that will keep prices extremely competitive.
Stacey, director of Hub Accountants said “We aim to offer clients across the region a different type of accountancy, tax and business consulting service that addresses their specific issues like lack of time, lack of accounting expertise, a desire to build a business on their own terms and ensuring they retain a fair maximum return on their endeavours.”
