Coppa Club, the boutique restaurant group, will be coming to the Chapel Arches scheme in Maidenhead, after agreeing a lease with Sorbon Estates, the commercial property investment arm of the Shanly Group of companies. Opening its sixth outlet, the luxury chain has already proved extremely popular in central London and Sonning-on-Thames and will be taking up a prime waterside position on the ground floor of the Picturehouse.

Set to open in Spring/Summer 2018, Coppa Club will offer locals a selection of European food from small plates and snacks to grilled mains, sourdough pizzas and healthy salads. The bar will serve carefully-chosen wine, beer and cocktails in a stylish, yet relaxed setting. Coppa Club will also have an outdoor terrace overlooking the new waterways.

Since opening its first restaurant in Sonning-on-Thames in 2015, Coppa Club now has sites in London, Tower Bridge, Oxford Circus & St. Paul’s.

“Coppa Club has a real affinity with waterside locations, and so we were drawn to the incredible work the Maidenhead Waterways Restoration Group has been doing at Chapel Arches,” explained John Gripton, Coppa Club’s property director. “A perfect waterside location for Coppa Club, the Picturehouse is a real gem. Maidenhead as a whole is also a really exciting place to be as it gears up to welcome Crossrail in 2019. With so much investment heading into the town, we see this as an exciting opportunity to be part of the town’s wider regeneration.

"What Coppa Club offers is something for everyone, from commuters and shoppers wanting to put their feet up to local workers needing somewhere to hold meetings as well as the after work crowd looking for somewhere to unwind.”

Agents GCW and Nick Young & Co and Kempton Carr Croft assisted with the deal. Commenting on the new lease, Tamra Booth, managing director of Sorbon Estates, said: “Due to its waterside location in the heart of the town’s regeneration area, we received a great deal of interest in this space and we felt that Coppa Club has the best offering for the community.  It’s a restaurant that the people of Maidenhead can be truly excited about.

“The boutique style and relaxed ambience of Coppa Club – opposite Bakedd, the artisan bakery which opened recently - is one that reflects our vision for the new urban quarter of Maidenhead. Its position on the waterways will help bring Chapel Arches to life as a vibrant retail and leisure destination."
