Oxfordshire: West Waddy ADP welcomes new partner Craige Burden
Abingdon-based architects, town planners and masterplanners West Waddy ADP has appointed Craige Burden BA (Hons) BArch MRTPI RIBA as partner responsible for urban design and masterplanning. Burden, a former employee of West Waddy ADP, is a chartered architect, town planner and accomplished urban designer.
He brings a unique approach to design, being qualified in both planning and architecture, ensuring that sites are examined at a range of scales to ensure proposals fit within their context, while also providing a design-led response. He has experience working across many sectors including residential, educational and specialist housing schemes.
Burden’s past experience as an urban designer at Barton Willmore Partnership, Sheppard Robson and, more recently, as director of urban design at Boyer Planning has provided him with the opportunities to lead large multidisciplinary teams as well as working independently on smaller projects.
He has worked on a wide range of projects, from large-scale schemes, such as the award-winning development at Barking Riverside and the regeneration of the MG Rover Plant at Longbridge, to carefully crafted village extensions at Watchfield and Harwell in Oxfordshire.
