Reading: Boyes Turner listed as one of best places to work in property
Thames Valley-based national and international law firm Boyes Turner, and its thriving specialist property group, has been listed by Property Week magazine as one of the country’s Best Places to Work in Property.
The Best Places to Work plaudit comes after a rewarding and successful year for Boyes Turner’s property team, which has involved work on a complex range of varied matters across London and the South East. The property team advises clients on commercial and residential property disputes, including disputes involving easements, covenants and overages, and between landlords and tenants.
The growing scope of the team’s work has seen it strengthen its numbers over the past year with key appointments being made to the Development and House Building and other teams.
Nick Carter, partner and head of the property group, said: “We have been able to deliver outstanding results for clients over the past few years, but none of these successes would have been possible without the amazing contributions of everyone in the property team. The property team prides itself on its standards of personal development, flexible working and overall collegiate team spirit, so this is a heartening result.”
The Best Places to Work listing follows rigorous employer and employee surveys undertaken by the publication, with key metrics taken on levels of leadership and planning, culture and communication, and role satisfaction and work environment.
In its listing, Property Week singled out Boyes Turner for praise over its onsite personal development, as well as its bonus schemes for support staff as well as for fee-earners and other employee-friendly initiatives.
Healthy working initiatives include pilates, yoga, boxercise and spinning classes, and charity involvement is encouraged via 12 charity events annually, including cake sales and pancake tossing, sleeping out to support the homeless and dress-down days.
