Transport planning, engineering and placemaking specialist PJA has appointed Jerry Muscroft as a director of its Reading office.
Muscroft will build on the company’s success in Reading, the Thames Valley and the wider South East region by developing new and existing client relationships and significantly expanding its team of consultants and engineers.
He was previously a director at transport planning consultancy Motion and prior to that director of transport and infrastructure planning a Capita Symonds. He has over 30 years’ experience in the planning, design and delivery of development infrastructure for both large and small scale projects both in the UK and overseas.
Muscroft said: “I’m thrilled to join PJA as it is one of the most forward-thinking companies in the industry and always puts its customers first. The company has a strong design ethos – recognising the need for infrastructure to contribute to local character and sense of place.
“I’m looking forward to working with fellow Reading director Cullan Riley and London director Keith Melville to build on PJA’s client base. We are also taking on additional office space at our Reading office to accommodate our growing South East Region delivery team.”
Muscroft is the latest of several recent appointments at PJA, taking the head count across the company’s five UK offices to 68. Other new team members include principal consultant Graham Smith and graduate consultant Justin Yim, both in the Reading transport team, while the company’s transport modelling services team has been bolstered with the appointment of associate Dan Bent and consultant Nick Woolley.
PJA joint managing director Nigel Millington added: “The expansion of our Reading business is a key part of our strategy for growth in the South East, and I am delighted that Jerry has come on board to help achieve our objectives. I would also like to welcome Graham, Justin, Dan and Nick, who all bring a fantastic mix of knowledge, skills and experience.”
