Reading: Professional services marketeers form network
A new network for individuals working in marketing/BD focused roles within the professional services sector has been launched in the Thames Valley.
The Reading Professional Services Network, co-created by Claire Rason (founder of consultancy Client Talk and former director of marketing and BD at Boyes Turner) and David Lamont (head of marketing at Blandy & Blandy LLP), held its inaugural meeting in Reading in October.
Rason explained: “David and I both felt that there was a gap in the region for a network like this, with things typically more London centric. The number of professional services marketers based in Reading has risen sharply over the past five years, and we all share similar challenges and experiences and can help and learn from one another.”
Lamont added: “It was fantastic to see a strong turnout at our first get together this autumn. We look forward to a session on digital marketing, kindly hosted at BDO’s offices, in January, and to welcoming more new faces in the New Year.”
The network is free to join, with meetings taking place at least every quarter, supported by an online group for the sharing of ideas and advice.
Firms already involved include Barton Willmore, Blandy & Blandy, Blake Morgan, Boyes Turner, BDO, Crowe, Haslams Chartered Surveyors, James Cowper Kreston, RSM, Simmons & Sons and Vail Williams.
