Reading: RARE duo join Vail Williams

Property consultants Vail Williams LLP has appointed Guy Parkes and Andy Baillie from RARE to join its growing agency team in Reading.

A specialist in property agency and development advice, Guy Parkes has 30 years’ commercial property experience across the Thames Valley and wider south east region.

He joins Vail Williams as a partner from RARE, prior to which he was European director and head of the western corridor business at JLL.

Joining alongside Guy is Andrew Baillie, also from RARE, who has been appointed as a senior surveyor to support the firm’s growing agency team which serves the Thames Valley region.

Baillie has worked in the Thames Valley agency market for the last three years covering all aspects of office agency and property acquisition.

The news comes hot on the heels of Vail Williams’ recent acquisition of Trilogie CRE and forms part of the firm’s continued plans to expand its operations across the South of England, where they already have offices in Crawley, Heathrow, London, Portsmouth, Southampton and Woking.

Speaking of the strategic appointments, David Thomas, Vail Williams’ regional managing partner for the Thames Valley, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Guy and Andy to join our growing full property service team here in Reading. The appointments build on Vail Williams’ existing agency offering, complementing the firm’s wider services which include property valuation, planning and lease advice, investment and development expertise, as well as property asset management and occupier consultancy.

The pair joined on January 2 and are based at Vail Williams’ Reading office at 550 Thames Valley Park Drive.
