Reading: Recruitment specialist GCS announces best year to date
Technology, engineering and financial services recruitment specialist GCS has announced its best-ever gross profit (net fee income) year of £7.63 million.
Company founder and chairman Chris Bartlett said: "I'm absolutely delighted with our performance over the past year and this result is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone in the company. Last year we found new opportunities for close to 1,000 individuals across more than 200 businesses. We set a company-wide goal to achieve best-ever performances, both individually and collectively, and everyone pulled together to deliver this fantastic achievement."
The announcement of the record year was made at GCS' 2015 vision meeting, held at the Royal Berkshire Hotel in Ascot, an event that saw GCS also outline its plans for 2015/16. The key message for GCS’ year ahead was one of investment as GCS looks to continue investing in its people, systems and locations. Investment in locations in particular will see GCS open its first American office this summer, in New York.
"Our vision meeting and annual awards event is the most important day in the GCS calendar. Not only is it an opportunity to ensure everyone in the company is aware of our performance and plans moving forward, but it also allows us to celebrate collective and individual success,” said managing director David Bloxham.
"I am extremely proud of everyone in our business for last year’s performance and it was fantastic to be able to recognise some of our stand-out performers. I am excited about continuing our success and recognising the achievements of more people next year. Our primary purpose is to recruit and inspire the best to ensure that our clients recruit and engage with the best, our year of investment will mean that even more businesses will benefit from hiring candidates that will help them to achieve their own goals in the coming year.”
