Richard Yorke, director, analytics of CoStar, provided an insight into the state of the Reading market, analysing why the ‘city’ was at the top of its league table of cities across the UK.
Derek Ching, partner at law firm Boyes Turner, called for more flexibility from planners to ensure that Reading makes the best of the opportunities that are arising as the 'city’ grows.
Chris Allen, head of workplace consulting at Morgan Lovell, spoke about the changing nature of work and how work-life is now the culture adopted by forward-thinking businesses.
Katrina Larkin, co-founder of Fora, outlined her company’s plans to open a new co-working centre in Thames Tower, Reading.
And Scott Witchalls, partner at Peter Brett Associates, made an impassioned presentation about how Reading was already on the world stage but would have even more of a global reputation once the Royal Elm Park convention centre was built.
CoStar presented awards to four top commercial property agents - Lambert Smith Hampton, Campbell Gordon, Sharps and Haslams.
