Workspace pioneer, Central Working, today opens the doors to its club in Slough, providing the area with a new hub for innovation.

Situated on the ground and first floors at The Future Works – the office building launched by AshbyCapital and U+I – the new club will give 250 tech entrepreneurs a place from which to scale their business and develop valuable new connections.

Central Working actively supports its members by connecting them to contacts they need to grow, including prospective clients, potential collaborators and last minute suppliers. Previous members include CityMapper and JustEat. The new site will connect Slough’s growing businesses with Central Working’s network of 3,500 companies across the country, providing the town with new links to the UK’s enterprise and tech community.

Through The Future Works building, Central Working offers members an exceptional 3,136 sq ft communal roof terrace, WiFi connectivity and views of Windsor Castle. With a double-height feature entrance hall, secure basement parking (including electric car charging spaces), and extensive facilities for cyclists and runners such as bicycle parking, luxurious changing rooms with towel service, and a drying room, The Future Works is changing the perception of office space in Slough.

Located next to the town’s contemporary new bus station, Central Working Slough members will also benefit from being just moments from Slough rail station, which connects to London Paddington in 16 minutes. It will also welcome the Elizabeth Line next year with journey times of only 32 minutes to Bond Street.

Grant Powell, CEO of Central Working, said: “We’re truly delighted to be able to start welcoming the innovators and entrepreneurs of Slough to our new space at The Future Works. Not only will Central Working Slough members benefit from the transport connections brought by the forthcoming Elizabeth Line, but they’ll also become part of the wider Central Working network, opening up access to thousands of potential collaborators and clients across the UK.”

Peter Ferrari, chief executive of AshbyCapital, said: “The Future Works is at the forefront of Slough’s transformation, and launching this significant development highlights our confidence in the town. Named the best place to work in the UK by Glassdoor, and with the highest concentration of global headquarters outside London, Slough is already an extremely business-friendly location. Add into this the Heart of Slough regeneration programme, which is transforming the town centre, and the arrival of the Elizabeth line next year, and Slough becomes one of the UK’s most exciting business destinations.”
