Slough: Hytera expands with SEGRO
Hytera, China’s largest provider of professional mobile radio equipment, is almost doubling its presence on the Slough Trading Estate.
The first Chinese company to move to the Estate (2011), Hytera, seeing increase in demand for its products, is now leasing an additional 4,780 sq ft having taken the unit adjacent to its UK headquarters on Yeovil Road. In total, Hytera now occupies 9,395 sq ft on a 10-year lease.
Since moving to the Trading Estate, Hytera has continued its investment in research and sales in the UK market, delivering more reliable and cost-effective professional communication solutions to response services and business users.
John Whitcomb, sales account manager, said: “As the fastest-growing radio communications company in the world, Hytera is leading the migration from analogue to digital which is resulting in greater-than-predicted sales revenue. We fully expect this growth to continue for the foreseeable future. We are committed to growing our business in Slough and continuing to recruit quality people from the local area to support our growth.”
Paul Lewis, regional director for SEGRO in the Thames Valley, said: “We are delighted with the success that Hytera has enjoyed since moving to the Trading Estate. We have worked very closely with them on the specifications for this additional space, which will enable them to grow their business and attract new talent to their workforce. We have seen a number of businesses expand on the Trading Estate this year as it continues to be one of the most sought after business locations in the Thames Valley.”
SEGRO is Europe’s leading owner-manager and developer of industrial property.
