South Coast: Fast-growing Hendy Group appoints COO
South Coast-based Hendy Group has appointed Simon Bottomley as its new chief operating officer in a key appointment for the expanding automotive company.
Bottomley takes over the reins as chief operating officer from Andy Stevenson who retires later this year after 25 years with Hendy.
Bottomley joins from Cambridgeshire-based Thurlow Nunn, an automotive and agricultural supply company, where he was group managing director for 15 years following an early career in engineering.
He said he was thrilled to be joining Hendy which has 57 franchise outlets across 30 locations and employs more than 1,100 people in Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Devon.
Chief executive Paul Hendy said he was delighted to welcome Simon to the Hendy team. “Simon has fantastic experience which will be crucial as we move forward with our future plans,” he said.
