South East: Fast Track growth opens up export to China
Fast Track China (UK), specialist in supporting export sales to China, has opened to businesses in the South East. The firm has grown its UK-based team with a number of key appointments, including that of Jeff Thompson as its new head of business development for the region.
Thompson brings more than 30 years of experience to the role in both the public and private sectors, having provided export advice as an international trade adviser since 1996. During this time, he was the North East’s regional lead for China.
Fast Track China has a growing team of British and Chinese nationals working in both countries to support businesses wishing to trade between the two markets. In partnership with the provincial government of Zhengzhou City, the company has established an exhibition centre where UK firms can showcase their products and services. A memorandum of understanding has now been signed for a second centre in Changsha, in the Hunan province.
Richard Sice, chief executive of Fast Track China (UK), said: “The growth of our team means we can support more businesses in their efforts to open up the Chinese market to export their products and services.
“Some of the businesses that took part in our first trade mission last year are now in strong negotiations, which we expect will help them to secure significant contracts with Chinese buyers. I am sure the upcoming second outbound visit, due to take place in April, will prove equally successful.”
