South: Simon Rhodes named Hampshire lawyer of the year
Trethowans’ senior partner and head of employment and immigration, Simon Rhodes, has been named as the 2018 Lawyer of the Year at the Hampshire Incorporated Law Society Awards.
Rhodes is well-known for his expertise in employment law and his commitment to the region. Now, he’s been voted as the best of the best as part of the Hampshire Incorporated Law Society Awards.
Rhodes said: “I’m proud to be part of Hampshire’s thriving legal community and proud to be a partner at Trethowans.”
Rhodes acts for a wide range of major UK employers, as well as businesses and employees across the South. Simon is ranked highly in Chambers & Partners one of the UK legal industry’s most prestigious lists, and is a regular commentator on employment law nationally.
Trethowans managing partner Chris Whiteley said he was not surprised to see Rhodes commended so highly at the awards.
He said: “Simon is hugely popular with our clients, not just for his knowledge and success within his work but for his wonderful way with people. He’s a superb representative for Trethowans and we echo the commendations of the award judges.”
Rhodes’ win is the latest in a line of successes for Trethowans as it continues to grow across the region. Sophie Eales has just been named Lawyer of the Year at the Solent Deals Awards 2018 and at the end of last year Trethowans was named as the fastest-growing legal firm in the UK for firms with turnover up to £24m.
Earlier this year it opened a new office in Bournemouth, taking its number of locations across the south to six.
