South: Vanderbilt Group acquires eight sites for housebuilding
Vanderbilt Group has announced its acquisition of eight new sites in three months across Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex, a record number in this timeframe as the Group’s growth strategy accelerates.
These sites, acquired between November 2019 and January 2020, will deliver around 250 new properties overall and will provide a range of homes for a variety of buyers, from town centre apartments with Help to Buy available to larger family houses in popular villages.
The Group acquired Southampton-based housebuilder Crayfern Homes in July 2019 and has provided significant financial backing to support further growth. The acquisition of sites across the Group provides a two-year pipeline of development that will deliver its business strategy and projected growth of over 150% in the next two years.
Chris Chiles, Vanderbilt Group managing director, commented: “The Crayfern Homes acquisition has allowed us to secure more investment and bolster our land pipeline. Both businesses are delivering – assisted by a resurgent property market, we saw our best ever sales performance in January. This land certainty and asset turn, coupled with strong investor support and a robust operational model, will enable us to deliver on our ambitious targets.”
The Group is actively looking for further land and partnership opportunities across Oxfordshire, the Home Counties and the South Coast.
