South: Women in Business launch – a feast of inspirational speakers and rousing debate
To launch the 2016 Women in Business Awards, organisers and sponsors are inviting interested business leaders to an evening of drinks and canapés, motivational speakers and topical debate.
Taking place from 5pm on April 28, the event will kick off with talks by winners of the 2015 Awards – Victoria Peterkin, founder of Daisy Nursery and Woman of the Year, and Annette D’Abreo, managing director and founder of Ceuta Healthcare and Woman of the Year (Large Business).
They will speak about their achievements, journeys and challenges in the workplace and share how their success in the Awards has benefited both them and their organisations over the past year.
This will be followed by a debate on the power and profitability of inclusion in the workplace by a panel of inspirational business leaders:
Juliette Stacey, CEO, Mabey Group
Suzanne Taylor, CEO, Clarenco
Ginny Gibson, deputy dean, Henley Business School
Claire Edmunds, founder and CEO, Clarify.
Organised by The Business Magazine and sponsored by Barclays, Blake Morgan, Clarify and Taylor Made Computer Solutions, the initiative celebrates not just women, but also men and organisations, who are championing change and creating more opportunities for women – and who are doing this because it makes good business sense.
The launch event takes place on Thursday April 28, from
5pm-7pm,
at Blake Morgan’s offices in Eastleigh.
