Southampton: Creative agency Idealogy makes board appointment
Creative director Simon Warren has been appointed to the board of directors at Idealogy, indicating that the company's business plan for 2015 is gathering momentum.
Warren joined Idealogy in September 2012 as retail and brand consultant and was promoted to creative director in November 2013.
Previously he held the position of creative director at action sports-lifestyle brand Animal, and formed part of the senior management team which guided the company from its inception in 1987 to a £60 million plus revenue business.
Warren brings his skills and powerful B2C network to the next phase of Idealogy’s ‘post 25 year’ development.
He commented: "The opportunity at Idealogy lies in the consultancy side which, in a very crowded market place, makes us unique. We are fantastic at creative design but what really sets us apart from the rest is our thought leadership. We have the ability to uncover the fingerprint, or unique markers, of a brand or product and come up with a platform to describe and position it before we make any creative commitments.
"The real story behind a brand or product is underpinned by solid thinking and research. There is no silver bullet. It's not just a single idea, it's a whole brand experience. My mission is to apply a process to create consistency at every touch-point and achieve campaigns of elegant simplicity which are both relevant and relatable."
Director of communications Simon Dover said: "Our global clients expect sophisticated, smart solutions. Simon's client-side background gives him the benefit of clear commercial thinking combined with a creative pedigree, which brings a unique and engaging skill-set to our client offering."
The directors at Idealogy have set an ambitious five-year plan to double the size of the business and the company moves into 2015 with a clear objective to gear up to realise this goal.
The acquisition of key personnel to bring new blood into the agency with fresh thinking and a different perspective along with restructuring internally is all part of the plan.
Idealogy specialises in the articulation and communication of new and existing brands from proposition development to brand identity, collateral, digital content creation, film and photography.
