Southampton: Humberts lets space to Fairline
Humberts in Southampton has successfully let more than 8,000 sq ft of prime riverside offices and workshops at Hamble River Boatyard.
The riverside space has become headquarters to Fairline Southampton – a newly formed joint venture between two of the country’s leading dealers in the prestigious Fairline motor yacht.
Comprising more than 2,500 sq ft of offices in a prominent two-storey building with a fully-glazed sales suite on the ground floor and six first floor offices, the site also includes 6,500 sq ft of workshop space.
It has been let on a 15-year lease and the refurbished buildings will provide a sales showroom with both land based and on-water display facilities for new and pre-owned Fairlines.
The new base will provide sales and service facilities for Fairline customers from Eastbourne to Bristol.
Humberts senior associate Craig Powell commented he was not surprised that the boatyard had been snapped up. “There is no shortage of demand for this type of quality marine-related property.
“The River Hamble offers access to one of the UK’s most famous yachting areas, for both sail and power craft and Hamble River Boatyard is in a great location as it also offers easy road access to the region via the M27, being only about one mile from Junction 8.”
South coast Fairline dealerships at Port Solent, Poole and Shamrock Quay, Southampton have relocated to the new premises.
