Southampton: Wilkins Kennedy raises £10,000 for local charities
Top 20 UK chartered accountancy firm Wilkins Kennedy LLP has raised over £10,000 for the Rosewood Free School and the Rose Road Association, both based at the Bradbury Centre in Southampton.
Fundraising efforts started in October when a 10-strong team from Wilkins Kennedy participated in the Great South Run. Donations came pouring in to support the Hampshire-based charity and school and the funds raised have been put towards a new Acheeva Graduate Learning Station and other equipment for Rosewood Free School and towards the Rose Road Children’s Appeal which funds short breaks and specialist equipment.
Ian Talbot, managing partner at Wilkins Kennedy in Winchester & Romsey and Trustee of the Rose Road Association, said: “We chose the Rose Road Association as our charity of the year at the Wilkins Kennedy Winchester and Romsey offices – the care and support services they offer to young people with disabilities and their families across the south of England is invaluable so thank you to everyone who supported our efforts.”
