Babble strengthens southern presence with two acquisitions
Cloud Comms, cyber and mobile technology business Babble has strengthened its presence in the south through two acquisitions.
Salisbury-based telecoms company Berry provides scalable solutions to 1,700 customers, according to a press release from Babble. It specialises in business phones systems, offering a range of products from IP phones to PBX systems, call recording and marketing scripts.
Similarly, East Sussex's Cavendish Communications provides telecoms to businesses and education establishments in the UK, serving 700 customers. It offers on-premise and cloud-based telephone systems, connectivity solutions and mobile services.
The acquisitions build on a period of significant growth for Babble. The London-based technology and telephony company has also recently acquired Yorkshire Telecom/Biscuit IT and ADSI.

Berry Technologies Group was advised by BDO’s mergers and acquisitions team. Led by Duncan Lamb working out of the firm’s Reading office, BDO provided sell side lead advisory to Berry’s shareholders.
Hampshire law firm Paris Smith LLP was Berry’s lawyers for the deal. Babble was advised by James Cowper Kreston and Gateley, both of which have offices across the South East.
