Clanfield: Office building sold for residential conversion
Acting on behalf of the vendor relocating their business to new local premises, Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell has recently sold the vacated freehold office building to a private investor/developer.
The property which is located in the centre of Clanfield was sold with the benefit of planning consent for conversion to four one-bedroom and two two-bedroom apartments with off-street parking.
Clanfield village is surrounded by rural countryside between Portsmouth and Petersfield, and is one of the southern gateways to the South Downs National Park.
Simon Hake, who advised on the transaction commented: “South Lane is one of several development opportunities that we have been marketing during the year. With the high demand for housing across the South East, development opportunities are still generating significant interest from investors and developers alike. While the availability of opportunities across the south remains limited, we continue to identify sites for clients on both greenfield and brownfield land, which in some instances are suitable for the residential sector.”
