Professional service network Deloitte has announced 37 promotions, a record number for the company, at its Southampton branch.

With this the company has expanded its leadership team - six of said promotions are senior appointments. These include: Kirsty Thomas, partner (Audit & Assurance); Nicki Pickering, associate partner (Audit & Assurance); and four new directors – Charlotte Attrill, Chris Randall, Meg White (Audit & Assurance) and Sophie Sellars (Transaction Services).

Claire Siviter, practice senior partner at Deloitte Southampton, says: “This is the highest number of senior promotions we have had at the practice since it was set up over 30 years ago and I want to congratulate everyone on their achievement. It’s especially rewarding to see promotions to the partner grade for two colleagues who joined us as graduates and have built their careers in Southampton.

“Southampton was one of Deloitte’s first virtual communities and the record number of promotions this year is testament to the commitment and quality of our people who continue to provide our clients with high quality services within a successful hybrid working model.”

The flurry in promotions at Deloitte's Southampton branch reflects the company's nationwide effort, in which 101 employees were promoted to partner; the total number of partners at Deloitte Southampton is 13.

Richard Houston, senior partner, and chief executive, said: “Congratulations to all our new partners and all our colleagues who were promoted over the past year.

“Promotions are an important part, but in addition, we’ve invested in enhanced policies on parental leave, bereavement, and menopause, alongside fully funded private medical insurance for all our people.

“While we still have progress to make, I’m especially pleased to see increased representation of women and people from ethnic minority backgrounds among our most senior leaders. Creating an inclusive workplace remains a critical priority and we continue to take action to ensure we have a strong, diverse pipeline of talent.”
