Ellis Jones appoints senior associate to break into West Dorset
Regional law firm Ellis Jones, based in Dorset and Hampshire, is targeting business growth with the appointment of Tim Glover, a highly experienced lawyer, as senior associate in its Swanage office in Dorset.
Glover is a dispute resolution specialist with nearly 30 years of experience. He previously held senior positions at law firms in the Weymouth and Dorchester area.
Ellis Jones, with 18 partners and more than 160 staff, has offices in Bournemouth, Canford Cliffs (Poole), Ringwood, Swanage and Wimborne as well as London.
Nigel Smith, managing partner, said: "Tim’s excellent reputation precedes him. He is well-known as a dispute resolution specialist across the region and particularly in Dorset. His great depth of experience and considerable skills will be a tremendous asset as our business expands."
Smith added: "I was born in Dorchester and still have strong links with the town. I’m excited about the prospect of reaching West from our Swanage office into Dorchester and Weymouth."
Glover, who qualified as a lawyer in 1992, is an accredited mediator with the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology at Regents College in London. He said: "The process of dispute resolution may have changed over the years with fewer days in court but the principles remain the same.
"I’m looking forward to helping more clients benefit from Ellis Jones’ excellent services as the firm looks westwards, especially through my longstanding connections with Weymouth, Dorchester and West Dorset."
Glover, a father of four, is a former rugby player and youth coach in Weymouth. He enjoys sailing and boxing training. He joins the Swanage office hot on the heels of partner Chris Pemberton, who lives in Dorchester. His appointment also follows a record eight promotions at Ellis Jones.
