The Business Magazine is looking forward to welcoming members of the Thames Valley 250 for an exclusive golfing day at the prestigious championship course at Stoke Park on Wednesday 1 May 2013. The day offers an ideal opportunity to network with other Thames Valley 250 companies, business clients, key staff, golfing colleagues and friends and enjoy pre- and post-golf hospitality.
Stoke Park's championship golf course was designed in 1908 by the famous golf architect Harry Colt and is considered to be the finest parkland course in Britain. Golf World magazine recently put it in the “Top 100 Golf Courses of the World”.
The course has been the inspiration for one of the world’s most famous holes, the infamous 16that Augusta National, home to the US Masters. Stoke Park also hosted the first ever PGA Matchplay tournament in 1910 and was featured in all the golfing scenes in the classic 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger with Sean Connery starring as 007 and the infamous henchman Oddjob.
To ensure an enjoyable day for all places are limited. Team members should have a recognised handicap. The cost, inclusive of green fees and meals is £750+VAT per team of four.

Stoke Park has fantastic practice facilities which include: a grass and all-weather driving range, pitching & chipping areas, a putting green and a new indoor teaching studio.

The halfway house is conveniently located between the 1st, 10thand 19th Tees providing all players with a variety of hot and cold beverages along with a variety of food options.

The winning team of the Thames Valley 250 Golf Day will win a 007 Package worth £2,500 in the official James Bond Golf Day at Stoke Park to be held on Friday 28th June.
The 18th green at Stoke Park was once the setting for arguably the most iconic golf match in cinematic history, played out between Sean Connery’s James Bond and Gert Fröbe’s Goldfinger (featuring Oddjob and his flying hat!).To celebrate this historical link, Stoke Park has partnered with EON Productions to host the official James Bond Golf Day, with profits from the day donated to the charity Spinal Research. Like Bond and Goldfinger, golfers will have the opportunity to compete on Stoke Park’s legendary 1908 Championship golf course. Afterwards, guests can indulge in award -winning head chef Chris Wheeler’s exquisite cuisine and dance into the night with live music.
