Thames Valley: Blandy & Blandy strengthens family team
Blandy & Blandy LLP’s leading family team has announced two changes.
Experienced solicitor Gemma Kemp has been promoted to become an associate solicitor at the firm, having joined in 2016. Kemp initially qualified as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2009 and continued her studies to qualify as a solicitor. She studied at the University of Law and through the Open University.
Kemp said: “I am delighted to have been promoted to an associate at Blandy & Blandy LLP, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the family department’s success, and the success of the firm as a whole.”
The team has welcomed solicitor Catherine Currie, who joins from Herrington Carmichael, where she completed her training before qualifying in 2017. Currie studied at both the University of Law and the University of Sussex.
Currie commented: “I am delighted to be joining the Family team at Blandy & Blandy, who have an outstanding reputation as family law specialists. I am really looking forward to working with Claire and the team and meeting new and existing clients.”
Partner Claire Dyer added: “Gemma’s promotion is very well deserved and reflects her contribution to the firm since joining. I have no doubt that she will continue to contribute to our achievements in her new role. It is a pleasure to welcome Catherine to Blandy’s and we are all looking forward to working with her.”
Blandy & Blandy’s family team spans the firm’s Reading and Henley-on-Thames offices and is ranked in the top tier in both of the UK’s leading guides to law firms, Chambers UK and The Legal 500. The latter has described Blandy & Blandy as a 'standout firm for family law in the Thames Valley'.
