Thames Valley: Boyes Turner to boost debt recovery work
Leading Thames Valley law firm Boyes Turner has announced the strengthening of its debt recovery team with the hire of a team of lawyers from Pitmans, led by Donna Goddard – who becomes the new head of debt recovery. Additional new hires to the team include Natalie Roff.
Jonathan Grigg, head of dispute resolution at Boyes Turner, said: “Effective debt recovery systems are a necessity of modern business. Despite numerous government campaigns to crack down on late payment of debt, many businesses, large and small, continue to suffer severe cashflow problems that can become business critical as a result of uncontested yet unpaid debts.
“Hiring this experienced team to bolster our existing resources leaves us better placed to support more businesses with our market-leading approach to recovering unpaid debts. Our specialist team has a real understanding of the pressures, targets and deadlines faced by credit controllers and managers, and is able to offer a fast, robust and effective service, which operates as an extension to the firms’ own credit control departments.”
The new team bolsters an existing specialist debt recovery team within Boyes Turner’s growing dispute resolution practice.
Goddard said: “With increasing pressure on business cash flow, many companies are finding the need to refer their aged debts. Against this challenging backdrop, we are thrilled to be joining the team at Boyes Turner. Our debt recovery team are well placed to assist and improve cash flow for Boyes Turner’s extensive national and international client base – offering our deep and extensive experience at competitive fixed fees”.
