Technology and telecoms companies across the Thames Valley should get their entries in now for the virtual Tech Awards.
Organiser The Business Magazine has today announced that nominations for the Thames Valley Tech Awards 2020 will close on July 24. Now in its third year, the awards recognise the success and achievements of technology businesses within the region over the past 12 months.
The Thames Valley has seen technology become a significant part of its economy over the past 20 years and it is now home to global tech companies including Microsoft, Oracle, Huawei and Cisco. The region is also home to many scale-ups and start-ups in the tech field as the digital revolution grows.
The Thames Valley Tech Awards celebrate the best technology companies within the region and has categories across a range of areas including Tech SME of the Year, Sustainable Technology, and Tech Leadership Team. The awards provide an opportunity for businesses within the Thames Valley area to be recognised for their hard work and efforts of the past year.
This ceremony for this year’s Thames Valley Tech Awards will take place as a virtual event on September 24 and will be hosted by renowned television presenter Vernon Kay. The ceremony will be an interactive virtual event, filled with opportunities for networking and audience participation.
“We’re delighted to be able to embrace digital and bring the Thames Valley Tech Awards to a virtual event this year to celebrate the success of local businesses after a difficult few months,” commented David Murray, Founder and Managing Director at Elcot Media & Events. “We have already received lots of impressive entries in this year’s awards and we’d like to encourage Thames Valley businesses to submit their entries before July 24.”
This year’s awards follows the success of the previous year which saw local businesses Southern Communications, Epoq IT, Onecom and many more take home awards.
