Thames Valley: Enter three new categories in Property Awards
The Thames Valley Property Awards has launched three new categories in 2020 - for architects, employers, and occupiers.
The new categories are:
Architectural Practice
This award recognises outstanding architectural practices (residential and commercial) in the region – highlighting recent instructions and creative projects. Judges are looking for the practice that has excelled either on one project or a series throughout the year in question.
Morgan Lovell Workplace of the Future award
Awarded to an employer, the Workplace of the Future award will be awarded to an employer to reflect modern day advances in workplace culture and the employers’ focus on attracting new generations of exceptional people.
This category will be judged by a next generation panel of talented experts (aged 35 and under).
The award will go to an occupier or developer that has created a brilliant workplace, this could be an individual office, or even an entire development which demonstrates they are focussing on the ‘future of the workplace’. The emphasis is on culture and not the environment.
The judges will want to see how the organisation has approached the challenge of ensuring their workplace attracts and retains talent, taking into consideration health, wellbeing and an approach to working differently.
Sustainable Development Project – sponsored by BDB Pitmans
Green buildings are not only good for the environment, they can satisfy occupier demands, and help improve the corporate image. This category highlights the sustainability credentials of a property – whether commercial or residential – from biodiversity to wellbeing, and from energy use to the impact on transportation.
We will assess buildings that are BREEAM certified (the world’s leading sustainability assessment method which includes Home Quality Mark) plus others that fulfil the following criteria:
A green building/development is one which promotes energy efficiency, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and minimises the environmental impact.
The awards are free to enter and you can submit entries into as many categories as you like. Entry deadline is February 21.
The Thames Valley Property Awards culminates in a gala dinner at Ascot Racecourse on April 30. Restricted view tickets are available now – to book, contact Amanda Strange at [email protected]
