Thames Valley: Finalists announced for prestigious Tech Awards

Finalists for the second annual Thames Valley Tech Awards have been announced.

More than 80 of the Thames Valley’s most dynamic and innovative tech businesses entered this year, topping the number in last year’s field and consolidating the popularity of the awards in the region.

The awards are organised by The Business Magazine to recognise the outstanding achievements of The Thames Valley’s tech companies.

Headline sponsors are Westcoast, GovGrant and JELF. Other sponsors are Austin Fraser, Barclays, Blake Morgan, BDO, Boyes Turner, Centerprise, Goringe, Grant Thornton, Lambert Smith Hampton, LDC, Onecom, and Penningtons Manches Cooper. Further support comes from iO and Howbery Business Park. Media partner is Jargon PR.

The judging panel of sponsors noted the very high standard of entries. The wide range of companies representing the region’s tech sector impressed them.

Having interviewed all the finalists the judges said little separated the businesses chosen in the 12 award categories.

“The quality of finalists this year is superb,” said David Murray, publisher of The Business Magazine. “What is particularly pleasing is to see so many homegrown successes among the finalists – businesses founded and flourishing in the Thames Valley.”

With such a strong line-up of contenders, the names of the winners will be eagerly anticipated. They will be revealed at a gala awards evening on September 19 at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading. Last year’s awards attracted nearly 400 winners, finalists and guests.
