The 2016 Thames Valley 250 list unveiled

Twenty-four companies that have excelled in the past year head up our list of champions in the latest Thames Valley 250 – our multi-billion-pound listing of the top private businesses in the region.

Unveiled this month, the 250 is a £22 billion listing of companies that have their headquarters in the Thames Valley. Now in its seventh year, the list is the key ranking of privately-owned businesses in the region, the majority of them founded locally.

At the top of the list, unsurprisingly, are companies like Thames Water, Urenco and Expro – businesses that derive their income from utilities, energy and fuels.

Westcoast is a high achiever once again – now at number two – with sales up to just under £1.6b.

Based on accounts at Companies House, plus financial data sources such as FAME, the TV 250 is compiled by The Business Magazine and sponsored by HSBC, business advisers Moore Stephens and law firm Gateley plc.

This year’s list was launched on July 12 at a private dinner at Stoke Park, near Slough and can be downloaded here.
