Windsor: Top business names join line-up for Women in Business awards launch

Three prominent women will join a panel for a topical discussion on Women in STEM and career-break returners - at a special Women in Business launch event at Oakley Court Hotel, Windsor, later this month.

The discussion panel will debate why more women are not entering the technology sector  even though some of the biggest tech companies are led by women.

The four panelists are Leona Shepherd, general manager, corporate sales, marketing & business services, at 3M, headquartered at Bracknell; Jacqui Ferguson, senior vice-president and general manager, UK & Ireland, at HPE; and Jacqueline de Rojas, president, techUK.

Also appearing will be entrepreneur Elizabetta Camilleri, founder and CEO of Shopological (formerly SalesGossip), who will inspire the audience with her story of the growth of her fashion platform, which has achieved worldwide acclaim.

They will join previous winners of Women in Business - Linda Christmas, Barinder Hothi, Nicola McQueen and Catherine Turness - in a star-studded event that will showcase this year's awards and encourage participation and support from business women across the region.

Women in Business is a campaign run by The Business Magazine and supported by Barclays, Blake Morgan and Windsor Vehicle Leasing. The awards dinner is at Oakley Hall on Thursday, September 21.

This month's launch will be a breakfast seminar at Oakley Court, Windsor, on Friday, March 31, from 9am to noon. Under the title, "Women in Business: Taking the lead...towards a stronger economy", the event will be compered by Tamsin Napier-Munn, campaigns manager.

More special guests will be added to the programme for what will be a stimulating and inspiring morning.
